Air Conditioning Engineer, with a good knowledge of HVAC and M&E maintenance, is required for a major contract with a National retail chain, based in Inverness.


Applicants will need to have a strong mechanical background for planned and reactive maintenance covering HVAC maintenance which incorporates Air conditioning and Chillers and VRF systems.


Duties will include:

- Safe and efficient installation, maintenance and repair of plant and equipment
- Carry out diagnostics and fault finding to plant and equipment
- Maintain plant, PPM, personal and vehicle records in accordance with company operating procedures
- Carry out routine servicing and commissioning to plant and equipment
- Identify area for additional works within and out of the specified contractual requirements and report these promptly to the supervisor with estimated material costs and labour requirements

The successful candidate will have NVQ level 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and or City & Guilds certificates, possibly in building services. They should also be time served as an apprentice or followed a recognised formal training programme and have post-qualification work experience.  Candidates need to be able to cope under pressure and have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

Air Conditioning Engineers will be required to hold a valid certificate in either City & Guilds 2078 Safe Handling Certificate or CITB equivalent

Full driving license is essential as travel between sites maybe necessary Salary for this post is from £30000-33000.
