Eden Scott's client, based in the Western Isles require a qualified Accountant to join the team as Director of Finance & Planning. The role will require candidates to be fluent in Gaelic.

Responsibilities include:

•Create and develop a financial strategy that will place the company in a sustainable financial position
•Ensure that resources and funds are effectively used
•Developing the company's budget and departmental budgets
•Direct the company's strategic and operational planning process

To be considered you will have the following:

•Experience of working in the finance function of substantial private or public sector organisations
•Experience in the processes of strategic and operational planning
•Experience in managing staff and providing a range of corporate services
•Ability to analyse processes and procedures, think creatively, strategically and pragmatically and to implement new ideas effectively
•Ability to plan work, prioritise, allocate and delegate tasks
•Knowledge of business and strategic planning processes
•A thorough knowledge of finance computing and a sound grasp of spreadsheets, databases etc
