Eden Scott's client is an engineering firm based in in North Scotland with a requirment for an experienced Management Accountant. The role is to provide management and financial accounting support to the business.

Responsibilites include:

•Manage the period end accounting processes ensuring all activities are carried out to agreed timetable, verifying data and balances, ensuring that the profit and loss account reconciles at period end, and processing any necessary journal entries.
•Prepare variance analysis against budget and forecast for review by the senior management accountant prior to incorporation Finance Directors monthly Board Paper.
•Maintain, monitor and analyse the Balance Sheet.
•Assist in the preparation of the annual and provide monthly variance analysis against budget.
•Manage the sales ledger, credit control, and time recording function.
•Ensure that the company complies with current accounting standards including International reporting financial standards.
•Undertake ad hoc exercises and provide guidance and advice as required.
