Senior/Principal Consultant (Nuclear) - Thurso, Dounreay

Our client is seeking senior staff with risk assessment experience in the nuclear industry.

They are looking for someone who is looking to relocate back home.

You will have at least 5 years experience of:

• Safety assessment production and other technical inputs to safety cases and safety documentation for a range of facilities;

• Experience of writing reports for a number of operators, regulators and industry stakeholders;

• Nuclear operators, plants, facilities and nuclear operator risk assessment methodologies;

• Writing successful technical proposals including establishing schedules and budgets for projects or tasks within projects;

• Communicating with and managing successfully project team members;

• Revising the scope of work, approach, schedules and budgets as required;

• Monitoring project spend against a project;

• Reviewing work for technical accuracy.

You will be expected to have the:

• Commitment to ensure that clients are properly satisfied and the Company's good reputation is maintained;

• Enthusiasm to drive project teams and continuously strive to improve performance and client communications;

• Flexibility and drive to maintain quality, managing changing priorities and work to challenging timescales.

You should have an understanding of relevant UK Health & Safety legislation and codes of practice. You should have a recognised qualification and professional membership of an appropriate body.

You must have excellent report writing skills and be able to put an excellent nuclear safety case together.

Senior consultants are encouraged to become involved in identifying and developing opportunities for new business and client relationship management.
