Newly Qualified Accountant
Eden Scott's client is based in the Westermn Isles of Scotland and has a requirment for a newly qualified or experienced accountant.
This is a fantastic opportunity to re-locate up to the beautiful Isle of Lewis to work with a small independent practice. With 11 team members, they have clients covering the whole of the Western Isles and the Scottish mainland and the client portfolio ranges from private individuals to large commercial and charity sector organisations. They have an excellent reputation of working closely with their clients and delivering quality service across their client base.
Duties and responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will include statutory and financial reporting, overseeing the audit process, managing a portfolio of clients and leading their team in the preparation of various accounting assignments. The successful applicant will play a strategic role in the development of the practice including networking with key decision makers in the community and existing clients.
Ideally you will have a general practice background covering the preparation of year end accounts, tax planning, auditing, general business consultancy for which you will require strong communication skills. Good interpersonal skills and teamworking skills are important as you will take responsibility for leading and developing the skills of your team.
