Qualified Accountant
Our Client is one of the UK's leading Financial Services Outsourcing organisation and due to recent expansion a vacancy has arisen as an Assistant to the Director of Accounting.
You will be a Qualified Accountant and ideally have minimum of 5 years practice experience with an outgoing and ambitious personality. Industry experience also considered.
You will be required to meet clients of the business on a daily basis as well as taking ownership of the outsourcing of their chosen elements of the financial function. Using your excellent Accounting background you will be able to make recommendations for elements of the business that will be strengthened by our clients services.
Many of the business using our client are in the Catering and Hotel Industry. Therefore a background in dealing with similar clients or working with, is desirable BUT not essential.

Skills and Qualifications required:
- University Level Degree and recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA/CA/ACCA)
- Statutory accounting and taxation experience
- Substantial technical accounting experience (not less than 5 years)
- Strong Organisational skills
- The ability to meet deadlines
- Proven experience with monthly and yearly closing process, account payable, bank reconciliations, payroll, accurals, tax and VAT preparation
- Effective communication skills
- Problem solver with a can do attitude
- Experience within the Hotel/Leisure Industry desirable but not essential Duties:
- Design, implementation and monitoring of financial controls and systems
- Delivery of quality client service within budget
- Timely preparation and review of Management Accounts
- Preparing Statutory Accounts, CT returns and Tax returns
- Tax compliance work
- Payroll processing and management
- On site visits with clients to extract information and set-up working process
- On site visits with existing clients to review processes and procedures
