General Assistants & Housekeeper required

We are looking for three new members of staff (couples/friends) – one Housekeeper & two General Assistants.

Housekeeper:

We are looking for a Housekeeper for the winter season which involves all aspects of cleaning the hotel. Great attention to detail, time management and stock management is essential in this role. This would mean starts at around 9 – 9.30, clean downstairs public areas & rooms and will generally finish around 3 – 4, as guests check in from 3pm all rooms required for the day need to be ready. Weekend work will be required as this generally is our busiest time of the week. Working week would be 6 out of 7 (this will take your hours up to around 40+ pw). Evening restaurant shifts will be available also.

General Assistants:

This role will include breakfast shifts, lunch shifts in weekends and dinner shifts. You will be responsible for the opening up of the hotel & shutting down. Not only will you be working in the bar/restaurant, serving food/drinks in our restaurant but you will also cover our small reception – answering the phone, taking reservations, checking people in/out. This role is a busy one where you will need to be able to think on your feet, solve problems and most importantly talk to the customers therefore a perfect command of the English Language is a must, previous experience is essential. There will be one or two days work in housekeeping to cover the housekeeper’s day/s off.

We are a very small hotel of 16 rooms, one restaurant and everyone just gets in and does what needs to be done throughout all departments.

All of the above roles would suit two friends or a couple as limited staff accommodation is available. You will need to be enthusiastic, presentable, outgoing, hard working happy people willing to get stuck in and give their all - personality is what we are looking for! Rates of pay will be at the National minimum wage & will incur a £31.22 pp weekly board charge + equal share of the tips are shared out once accumulated. Applicants must be available to work right through till the end of February with prospects of longer if willing.
