Avril Mackenzie
Do you know Avril Mackenzie from Ardersier?
If you do, then please ask her nicely to have a read of this, and let her know that, even after 23 years, I still think about her.
She was the type of girl that a young guy could only dream about - so far out of reach, but yet, we shared a closeness that it almost killed me knowing it could never go further. It would have ruined our friendship completely.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I went to school with her many moons ago:
* Ardersier Primary from 1975 - 1981
(had photo taken together in the sandbox on the 1st day of Primary 1)
* Culloden Academy, from 1981 - 1986.
* She stayed in Ardersier.
* We loved Music and learning to play keyboard together - Especially: "To know him is to love him" , which we played over, and over, and over again, trying to get the chords right.
"Well Avril, if you "are" reading this, please press play on the Jukebox to the right and have one more listen of that wonderful song."
* You had a Golden Retriever named Brandy (?)
* Your friends in school were (amongst heaps of others) Katie McLean & Wendy Williams
* You worked for Brake Bros for a short time after leaving school.

Anyhoo - If Avril does not get to read this, but someone out there knows she is doing well - please let her know I am thinking about her, and have done for many, many years.
She may be married with kids and be living a happy life. She may not care about what or who from the past. But I was never a boyfriend in that sense of the word - just a young guy that shared so much in common.
I just want to send her my Kindest Regards, Best Wishes, and also a friendly "Hug" - which I never, ever, got to give.
"Heavy sigh!"
Thank you.
