- Java Developer – J2EE

My client are multiple award winning, NASDAQ listed global software house who are currently increasing their presence throughout Europe. They can offr a fantastic basic plus benefits package and the chance to develop a structured career into senior J2EE developer/ architect.
You will work alongside some of the brightest Java developers on the market.

Initially as a software developer you will be working in a team active across multiple products. Together with the other team members you will create designs, discuss architecture and develop and maintain software. The product suite consists of a number of applications, both design-time and run-time. The run-time applications are J2EE, which is the focus for this position.

You will be working within a development team of about 10 people local in Amsterdam, and a remote development team of contractors in Eastern Europe of about 10 people currently. My client works with an off-shore model for testing and product support. Documentation, testing and quality assurance are an integral part of everybody's job. The atmosphere is informal and we are using the Scrum software development model.

You will be fluent in English and the position will be based in the Amsterdam office, which currently holds about 20 members of our worldwide team. You will work with colleagues in Europe, the US and the near-shore development team and off-shore test and support teams.

Useful Skills – not essential:

Development of J2EE based applications;Experience working with Agile development processes such as Scrum or XP;Knowledge of Hibernate, Struts, JSF ;Knowledge of Ant, Subversion and Maven is useful;
